Hahaha obviously this guy was not hired for his technological skills.

Oh and i also recommend the Kobo. It's not locked to Amazon like the Kindle/

He also wasn't hired for his brains, I believe >.>; I think that he got a bit offended when I didn't appreciate his efforts at selling me that MP4 player -.-;

Thank :) I look for it here :)

ha ha, the guy quite clearly had no idea of what an e-book reader is. picturing out his face as he worked his brain off was certainly hilarious xD

ouch, i'm scared i'm the biggest n00b ever when it comes to technology, so idk which one i could recommend ^^;

Probably just one of many things he didn't know. It kinda looked like he memorised some info on MP4 players and tried to fit my every question in this limited knowledge ^^;

No worries :) I know that not everybody can really recommend something, so it's okay :)

I agree. But on the other hand... I don't think it would make any good if I trashed the guy for his silliness ^^; Last think I need is to be a persona non grata in that shop >.>;

Oh LOL)))))
Well, I actually need a new one myself, wondering what to choose. I had a Pocketbook, it's a good model, very simple to use and reads all the formats, I think. It died, but it did serve a few years, and I'm actually not sure if its condition is terminal. It might be saved yet. Besides, it's pretty sturdy. I spilled stuff on it and dropped it and carried it in bags with other stuff, and there're no scratches on it still.

Seems the older stuff is the best and works better, huh? And it's more resilient to accidents XD Hope that yours can be revived again.

How funny, I've also been thinking about getting an e-book reader. XD I have lots and lots of e-books (pdf, mobi, epub) and I know that all the time I spend on my laptop (with its reflective screen) is not kind to the eyes. I'm thinking of an e-book reader with an e-ink screen, so I was considering the basic Kindle or the Nook--not the ramped-up color / tablet stuff. Are you planning to buy e-books through the reader, or (like me) just use it for the files you already have? I heard that Nook is better for reading pdfs and resizing them in comparison to Kindle (if I remember correctly...).

I don't even know what to say about that man, other than that--well--where is his brain?!

I'm not sure and that's the problem. I can't get any Nook books (not a US resident >.>), so Nook is out of questions. Besides, I don't think I saw any shop offering Nook here :( Kindle seems fine, but really... it reads only a few formats and you can't use SD cards to increase its er... capacity (?) and I just don't know any more ;__;

Well... his brain clearly isn't where it should be ^^;

Here is a chart for quick comparison stats, if you're curious. Yeah, I'm leery of Kindle because I'd have to convert my pdfs to Amazon's special proprietary format in order to read them on the Kindle--what a hassle! The Kobo that evoiice9a linked to looks promising though.

I don't even think that anyone save for Kindle is available in Poland)>.>; And Barnes and Noble won't sell nook books if you don't have an US credit card (I mean the billing address in US). Oh joy :/ I think I'll get myself Prestigio PER3562B. Seems like a good thing to buy.
