My mom's best friend who was an Irish schoolteacher and being at my grandmas over the summer, you would hear this load rumble and dozens upon dozens black bikers would ride past her house on their way up to Hawk's Bar. She HATED it but I would sit at the window grinning like I was waiting on the Ice Cream man? Before that I thought bikers were all Hell's Angels and Outlaws and ate small black children (kinda!)
There is still plenty of that down here but you also get lucky and see some color or just open-minded bikers. Otherwise, we get shunned aplenty down here.
