yeah, it was toss-up between the Raymond E. Feist "D&D Campaign" one and Asshole Leper Hero (though I can't think of anyone I know who's ever read that series besides me). Still, the whole thing is fucking brilliant.

Oh, I read the Asshole Leper Hero series. And regretted it.

Google "clench racing" if you haven't heard of it before.

As a long-time reader of McCafferry, Donaldson, Eddings, and Anthony, and one who spurned Jordan, Goodkind, and Brooks for the very reasons specified, I got a good giggle out of this.

I was actually a big fan of the Donaldson books when I read them, but I was always aware of being in the minority with that.

Regardless, I'm glad you enjoyed this. I got many lolz out of it, and hope to see more soon.

O....M....G!!!!

That is so perfect. Also, know what? I am reading a Pern book right now!!! Those things are like mental crack. Soothing, addictive, and a little dumb. Hey, when the going gets tough, I read comforting stupid books.

Heh heh... nothing like a little Mary Sue action when you're feeling down. Certainly easier reading than Camus ;)

Pern books are absolutely spiritual applesauce and toast for the unsettled tummy of a fantasy fan.
