It's been an intense week. Over the jetlag and have my brain (or something like it) back in my skull, but still not a lot of time / space for narrative. Hope to post a much more complete narrative when I get my photo's sorted and posted. For now, more moments from here and there.

I would love to see China with someone like you who knows the language, geography, and culture. sadly the closest I'll probably ever get is some sanitized tour, if that.

It's a pretty amazing country, and I do hope you get to see it some time. It's an interesting challenge to travel without the language, but I know folks who have managed it quite well. You just really need to internalize the attitude of adventure, where everything that goes wrong, every time you get bad directions or questionable food or stay in some shit hole, it's all just part of the adventure, just another story to tell when you get home.
