That's terrible! I hope the poor wee thing's ok. I hate to see any animal treated like that.
Last year, we had a German Shepherd in our back garden! It had escaped from someone and turned up in our garden. So we looked after it for a day or two until we found the owner.
I think we've taken ones in before too (- my house = a zoo). How can you not, when they're in need? Anyway Vet says he's very old and malnourished, so we'll see how it goes. :\
Our house = zoo too :) Except we do cats more than dogs. Which is odd. Mum and me are both dog people, but because we've such a tiny house, and a slightly neurotic/antisocial avec other doggies puppy, we can't really have any more dogs. We have a stray cat that adopted us, the third in the past few years!
Yeah, what is it about cats? We had three strays too (but one of them was knocked down a few months ago :( ). We seem to attract all manner of homeless creatures. We have hedgehogs in the garden, rabbits during summer, and a fox, on top of our two cats and, now, two dogs.
O.o I think word has spread through the animals of the neighbourhood that we're a soft touch...
