The HBP and Me.

I was trying to structure my thoughts recently and accidentally wrote an essay. As you do. Actually, it's more of a ramble than an essay, and may contain speculation based on the cover art, JKR's website, her interviews and minor spoilers etc woo. It's a pretty long post too, and includes mainly train-of-thought reasoning and my own wired-up ( Read more... )

You know, this makes pefect sense to me. More than anything else I've read so far, at least.

As soon as I saw your cut tag, actually, I was all "Ohhhh, right, Taliesin and that princess from Atlantis or whatever were his parents!" (Thank you, Stephen Lawhead.)

I haven't read that book/series, but the Atlantis connection sounds like it could be entertaining at least. Is it any good? When I was young I used to read those sorts of recent Arthur stories, but was always disappointed by how 'real' they were. I was more interested in the romances, heh :)

I read that series a few years ago, and I really did like it an awful lot, but it was also the first Arthur I'd really read, so I know now when I read other versions, it doesn't feel quite "right," if that makes any sense at all.

I should re-read them, really.

That makes a lot of sense, actually, I never thought Merlin. I could see it happening, especially because she's mentioned him just in small bits in the previous books, and well, you know that the trend is that someone briefly mentioned in one of the early books (like Sirius in ch 1 of PS/SS, then having PoA all about him) plays a bigger part in one of the later books.

:)

Well, less than a month! And then we'll know.

I'm glad it makes sense. There's always the vague fear nobody else will have a clue what I'm rambling about. And less than a month, so exciting! I've turned into a squeeing speculation machine :)
