Well, with "contained" you mean kept from circulating or spreading I guess?
Well in that case, simply no. It's still out there and might cause some cases of infections as the regular seasonal flu, but vaccines are available, and it has not really been proven to be all that much more dangerous then the other variants. SO there is no need to really worry anymore, wouldn;t be suprised if they just add it to the mix of the seasonal flu vaccination itself as "standard".
(the flu vaccinations are always "trivalent" vacciens, meaning it has always been a mix of 3 different subtypes they expect to pop up that season. Adding the H1N1 variant will not be much of a problem, and may already be administered.
It's just they thought it would give more problems at the time as it was an "unexpected" outbreak outside the expected seasonal flu, but it never made any really big impacts or caused such a large scale epidemic. So we had truckloads of vaccine against it, that went down the drain due to short expiration dates.
Though I'm not sure if I fully trust the website though, it's full of bugs and if they do not even answer an inquiry mail I'm not sure if I am going to go through with ordering.

Also, the ride for the roses went fine :)

It was fun, I think I'll go next year again.
They got over 110.000 Euro for the cancer fund in the end!
I would say it's quite a succes :)
