Lot's of stuff has been going on. Don't be surprised by the mass of updates that cover the last month or so of happenings.

I was going through my gmail box today and throwing out the trash. I was also assigning labels to emails from the various graduate schools so that I could more easily pull up the ones I wanted to look at. Apparently, Rutgers wants me in a bad way. Almost as bad as RPI. STILL haven't heard back from Georgia Tech and the UW. Those are, of course, the two that I'd most like to get into. Also, they're the ones I am the least likely to get into. Oh well, I doubt I'll have to wait much longer to hear from them.

I got an email from them today. Apparently I've been accepted into the UC Davis PhD Chem Eng program. No real details yet, other than that they want me to visit in early April. Apparently I've been admitted into Arizona State University. They want me to come down and visit next month. No information on what I'm looking at regarding financial aid. I have, in fact, been accepted into RPI. They're offering me full tuition coverage and a $22,000 stipend for the first year. Average house prices in Troy are around $85,000, so I'm guessing that the stipend is more than enough to live a comfortable student's life. They want an answer by April 15th. Apparently I've been accepted by RPI. They sent me a letter and a contract via email yesterday. Of course, this could be just like my experience with the Genome Sciences department last year and all I've really been accepted for is the chance to be interviewed. I need to look the contract over.

I don't know if anyone else has perused the "Ben Exworthy" issue of The Stranger or not yet, but I'm guessing that many of the people that have the misfortune of reading my rather sparse blog have. I don't see what the big deal is about Vicodin. It makes me a little light headed and relaxed. Sort of like drinking two glasses of wine. Apparently some people are willing to pay $50 a pill on the black market. What exactly am I missing? Are people just dumb?
