the magic number

There is a superstition in my family (and possibly the rest of the chinese community) that things happen in threes. Of course this is all a matter of when you start and stop counting. None the less the superstition persists and this week was a cool example of that for me.

First myhelena and I went to the butterfly conservatory in Niagara and it was ( Read more... )

This whole post was beautiful. Especially the second story. I got all goose-bumpy from it.

Michelle and I went for a bike ride last week to High Park. At one point while riding beside the pond a butterfly swooped down and flew just above and in front of me. I felt like I was in a scene from Winged Migration. Totally cool.

My birthday is soon. Wanna get me drunk?

Only if I can get you drunk AND take advantage of you.

How soon? Where? Tell me more and I'll be there.

if that were to happen, I'm pretty sure I'd like to stay awake and alert.

Therefore it is either one or the other.

Just curious. It being my birthday and all, where would you tie the bow?

Are you wearing a bow or am I?

Ooh, love the old lady.
Maybe I'll take her actions and spread them around through London.
Touch people's spirits... maybe?

Really though, I do think that is only something that people with more grey hair, wrinkles and wisdom than me can get away with.

Your butterfly and firefly adventures sound wonderful.
Mmm.

k. going to have to tea!

Did you have crumpets too?

Oh Erika,
Crumpets? No no. Think of bigger stereotypes.

To start, we had proper scones with CLOTTED cream (mmm - seriously) with fresh jam, followed by white bread with thinly sliced cucumber and thickly spread butter sandwiches.

Heaven.

My family has also been generously accomodating my veg-needs and have gone so far as to buy a cream-free cream alternative, aka liquid cool-whip. They pour it all over their fruit. Wow.

HOT SPOT UK - Today England also released the anti-fat pill, almost everyone is excited. It sounds like a great drug. Stops all kinds of nasty cravings.

I keep having dreams about our apartment.

What did you decide about that research job?

After I found out who my new boss is, I phoned them immediately to apply.

Clotted cream? Sounds revolting...

Is the anti-fat pill by any chance ephedrine and olestra?

I had a dream two nights ago that you had a livejournal where you posted really bad photographs of flowers.

Then after that, i had a dream that I had to dress up like and pretend to be a hot korean woman and sleep with some korean mafia guy. But that doesn't have anything to do with you. Unless you know where I could meet some cute korean mafiosos.

If it were maybe 7-10 years ago, I'd suggest Seduce.

I think I take ju-jitsu there now. The mirrors on the wall are covered with drywall and there are mats all over the floor.
