Today, at around 12:00pm Eastern time, my father passed away.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, and me.

He was a good man, and will be missed greatly.

I already replied on Facebook but..I can imagine where you are now, too easily given the challenges of my mother's health the last few years, yet also fully realize the reality is far worse.

I'm glad you have such a close family around you here. Let me know if you want to talk, hang out, or just do something distracting later as that may become valuable. In spite of loss, you are not alone.
