[ Setting aside my concern for a moment, that match was completely unsatisfying. I have won against him once in an unofficial match, but I wanted to have a repeat of that game in the Kantou tournament. It doesn't sit well with me to have a win on my record when the other player had to default.
In Nationals, I need to step up and face Yukimura. I might be able to secure the win against Genichirou, but realistically speaking, I'm the only one who can compete on Yukimura's level on this team. I'm not there yet, but I have a month including Senbatsu to get to that point.
Putting tennis back on the back burner, Genichirou seems to be coping fairly well. I can't believe Father offered him brandy last night as a means to ebb the pain. Sometimes I wonder if the apple doesn't fall far from the tree when he pulls that nonsense. I can't even imagine the cocktail of painkillers and muscle relaxers Genichirou must have already been on, regardless.
But who am I to bitch and moan about him coming to my door? ]
[ I'm not pleased with the results of my match with G our match with Rikkai. I don't care if they're the winningest team in the history of high school tennis, I know we can knock them right of their special little pedestal. I'm aiming for no less than taking out that joke of a captian. I expect everyone to step up along with me.
From here, our goal will be to take Nationals - we've not only qualified this year but we're also seeded second in the Kantou division which will work in our favor in early matches. If they make it that far, and they most likely will, let's pay them back, then.
Practice will continue while those of us who were invitated to Senbatsu are gone. Don't let me hear that you all tormented the substitute. ]
My business ethics class does not break for the summer; as it is a correspondence class, they don't have to contend with the campus being mainly closed with the exception of summer school so it runs year-round. Spiffy. I'll be taking my text books with me to Senbatsu, it seems if I want to do anything resembling relaxing this summer break. And with the location change, it's going to be too damn hot and the humidity is going to turn the slight flip of my hair into curls. Bah humbug.
[ooc; small screened to Sanada, first strike deleted, second just a strike.]
