So I was a king after all.

Yes, I remember my time as a ruler. None of the events in detail, simply that was an absolute ruler of a great many people.

Hmm... I seem to remember one more thing. The duration of my rule...

...a thousand years.

That's quite the reign, my friend.

Indeed. It would seem that Memento Eden isn't the only world that's full of surprises.

I wouldn't have guessed myself to be a day over fifty.

The idea does not strike me as particularly odd, perhaps it is not as strange in my world. Although that does beg the question of what are you, if not human.

Rather than make the assumption that I am not human, let's start with the question of how I lived for a thousand years. I'm not so sure that they're necessarily mutually exclusive.

A thousand year reign? Dammit, he's making me look bad!

Wait, humans don't live that long. If you're over a thousand you must not be human. If you're not human, Nia must not be human...

ALRIGHT! I'M NOT DATING A HUMAN!

You live at the crossroads of a hundred worlds, inhabited by people powerful enough to destroy a building with their bare hands, where our very minds are doled out like prizes, but you can't accept the idea of a human with an extended lifespan?
