In 1/2 an hour I would have missed it gwendovere21 August 21 2007, 03:51:34 UTC
so, while it was still August 20th, I wanted to wish you happy birthday wherever you happened to be. If you were in Annapolis I would look in all the antique shops and buy you something old and very elegant, but if no expense was spared I would buy you something utterly silly, like a live pygmy elephant. It would be in Communist colors, be pleasantly cheerful, have your twelve favorite songs memorized to sing for you when you were miserable and serve as a cigarette lighter in an emergency. And, because it would be a true pygmy elephant, you could keep it in your pocket for easy smuggling through customs and you could use it as a handwarmer when you were in the middle of nowhere and it was cold.

I wish you the best of luck with your rebuilding. It happens to everyone, everyone has regrets and miseries that revisit them, but when people speak about their unhappiness they can learn from one another and overcome it. I send you a dozen kisses from across the world and hope you are comforted by them.
