The thing that puzzles me about your updates is that you never seem to tell about what you've seen or what you're doing. What does Perth look like? Who have you talked to? Isn't Australia full of sheep and drag queens like I've always imagined it?

Home. Well, I suppose Annapolis is home, since I've lived there so long, but since monsoon-like rains have been going on for 3 days I'm about to disown it. I could say being in the backseat of my friend Ray's truck as he drifts and spins through the snow with all the skill of a stunt driver could be home, but I don't think I'm going to be there anytime soon. Perhaps home is in bed with a nice looking boy/girl while the cold rain falls down outside.

Australia is currently experiencing a mining boom, as the Chinese are buying up as much in the way of minerals as possible. In response to that, my city, Perth, has become unreasonably expensive. Your average main course runs about $20. No sheep or drag queens all trip, sadly.

I miss you :( I know we haven't talked in ages, but we should some time. How is Australia? I want to go there. You should send me a prepaid airmail box to come back in :)

I miss you, too, darling. Australia's treating me well, actually... but I'm looking forward to coming home.
On the plus side, I've been writing a lot. Fiction, poetry, the lot. I'd love to have your opinions on it all.
What have you been up to, btw? Do you remember by email address? It's easier to write me there. :)

I'm currently at "home", in Michigan. It's amazing how things change. My experiences this visit help me realize how much it has not been home for a long time. I miss home, which is Portland now.
