To get back to what I started a week ago...

This will be the longest Spring Break photopost. I tried to figure out a way to split up the Sullivan's Island photos, but it can't be done, so they're all going in one post. Fortunately, they're also the best pictures, so hopefully y'all will stick it out with me :-)

Predictably, Jeff had to set up the compy as soon as we arrived. We didn't get the internet until the next day, however.

Uncle Norman shows off his wine cellar. We are duly impressed.

Jeff accepts a glass.

Aunt Julia enjoys some pizza (guess whose idea that was :-p) and doesn't share with Isis.

Jeff and I abandon the wine for our favorite East Coast beer, Yuenglings.

And my favorite East Coast shomp...boiled peanuts!! Delish.

We hit the beach for the first time. Jeff takes it all in. He was especially interested in that boat, which really is startlingly close to shore. It kicked up some pretty big waves, too.

"Hey, BOAT!"

Norman and Julia take us out for a delicious Italian dinner.

Jeff gives the antipasto a chance.

During some downtime, Blueberry watches The Office.

Here you can see the Sullivan's Island lighthouse and, if you look closely, Jeff on one of his morning runs.

While Jeff was off running, I wrote his name in the surf and let the waves carry it out to sea. You're supposed to do that if you love someone.

Our mode of island transportation: this golf cart. Jeff's dextrous enough to start it. I am not.

While driving the golf cart, Jeff signals a turn. I thought that was cool.

Making breakfast.

"This looks like a good spot for our sand castle!"

I'm packing the sand to make the turrets while Jeff digs the moat.

Jeff destructs one of my turrets, because it sucked.

Adding water to the moat. Look at our pretty castle.

The name of the Civil War fort on the island is Fort Moultrie, so I named our castle Fort Poultry. I think I'm funny.

Jeff turns into a monster.

Monsters wreck the fort!

Batting down a turret.

I'm gonna kick you!

Jeff jumps a wave.

I jump a wave.

Isis is in trouble.

It's pub crawl time, and we began here, at Poe's.

Jeff enjoys his usual favorite at Poe's.

On to Off The Hook, which seems to be where all the cool kids hang out.

The cool kids.

Pub crawls are fun!!

At our final stop of the night, Jeff and I toast the good times.

Jeff reads on the porch. That's a beautiful shot.

Fishing, if you can believe it.

Jeff and Norman fish.

We're tired of fishing. We didn't catch anything.

Having lunch at a family owned diner on our last day.

Fort Moultrie. Not to be confused with Fort Poultry.

Jeff kept taking pictures of me shomping.

Saying goodbye to Norman and Julia.

Wow, that was long. I'll pick up later with the journey home.
