[Anyone passing by Goldberg Street might notice Chrona sitting on the curb, looking even more depressed than usual. She's clutching a framed picture in her hands: for those that knew her, they might notice that Fate T. Harlaown is the subject of the photo. It was something Chrona had swiped on her trip to Westport, before it was closed off. She ( Read more... )

[Rider happens to be taking a walk and heads down Goldberg Street. She passes Chrona just in time to hear her mutter.]

How to deal with what?

[Chrona looks up at Rider; she still avoids direct eye contact, but hey, at least she can look at her without wanting to go hide behind something.]

... Is there any way to deal with that? I don't like it... it always hurts.

[Kid is passing by - unfortunately, a terrified-looking, stressed Chrona is a too-common sight. He takes a seat next to her on the curb, keeping his distance to not make her uncomfortable, and places a hand on her shoulder in an attempt to reassure her.]

What happened, Chrona?

[Chrona flinches a little at the touch, but at least she's not moving away. This is a good sign, right?]

... Another one of my friends disappeared...

[It's just part of dealing with woobie prime, he'll take any good sign he can get.]

Disappeared? Are you sure they're absolutely gone?

... No... But she's acting like one of the drones. And that always happens before people disappear.

[Wandering by, Free sees a familiar face.]

Oh hey, it's Chrona!

[Oh crap what.]

Y-You're that wolf person who worked for Lady Medusa!

And you're that weird kid with the noisy weapon. If you're here AND Eruka's here, then Medusa can't be too far behind.

[Walking by Sniper sees Crona. Thinking for the briefest moments he could keep walking and act like he didn't notice.

Then remembering he hated being here and knowing he'd regret leaving this as it was.

Walking over he sat down on the curb beside Crona.]

Why the long face?

[Glancing to the picture Crona held...]

[Maka isn't going to stumble across Chrona sulking. Oh, no, that'd be too convenient for the two of them. Instead, Maka is sitting on the stoop of Chrona's house reading a book. She came to visit Chrona, but found out her friend wasn't there and decided to wait.

Not like anything bad was going on, right? Chrona was probably just off visiting one of her friends.]

[Maka will probably have to wait a long time, but Chrona eventually returns home, still carrying the picture and still looking a bit upset.

... And now she looks confused too, when she finds Maka sitting in front of the house.]

... Maka?

[She was reading. You could have taken three days and Maka wouldn't have budged, assuming the book were long enough.]

Ah, Chrona! I've been looking for you.
