Title: Sacrificing Love (Chapter 4)
Pairing: Chanyeol/Baekhyun
Rating: PG-15
Summary: Baekhyun was sold to Exotic as slave and was brought by a man called Park Chanyeol
(Previous Chapter) It was the first time Baekhyun stepped into Chanyeol’s room. His room was neater than he imagined but perhaps was because of the ajumma cleaned it for him. Then his eyes landed on the figure sleeping in the king size bed with a human size teddy bear lying in his arms. It’s something that Baekhyun would never understand. Why a successful guy like him would have such a childish side of him?
“Chanyeol-ah, wake up. Time to get up and go for work.” Baekhyun pat on Chanyeol’s shoulder gently, hoping that it’s enough to wake him up. Chanyeol only stirred slightly but ended up snuggling closer to his teddy bear and continued sleeping.
“Chanyeol-ah.” Baekhyun hit harder on his shoulder the second time round.
“Five more minutes.” He mumbled sleepily as he pull the blanket over half of his face, snuggling in the warmth of his blanket. Actually at the moment Chanyeol was already wide awake. He was only trying to hide the stupid grin he had on his face when Baekhyun call his name. He really enjoyed the way Baekhyun wake him up. The feeling was different.
“Chanyeol-ah, you will be late if you don’t wake up.” This time round Baekhyun pull his hands to get him up. Chanyeol finally sat up on bed with a messy hairdo. He yawned and rubbed his eyes.
“Good morning.” Chanyeol greeted. He was surprised to see Baekhyun wearing ajumma’s apron, he cannot deny that he looked cute in that.
“Breakfast is ready, wash up and come and eat breakfast.” Baekhyun then left the room to let Chanyeol get ready for the day. For the whole morning, Chanyeol couldn’t wipe off the idiotic smile on his face.
The moment Chanyeol stepped into the office, he would wear on the spectacle. It was the first time he sees Chanyeol wearing it, which made him look a little distance and mature than before.
“For today you just need to learn from the secretary and get yourself familiar with the company.”Baekhyun nodded before he left the room.
Baekhyun was serious in his work was what Chanyeol concluded from his hours of staring session. Baekhyun made fully use of his time to learn from his secretary. He even looked through the company’s past records and also the on-going projects.
Even when it was lunch time, Baekhyun was still reading through the files in his hands. Chanyeol wasn’t a heartless boss so he went down and bought two lunch boxes back to the office.
“Even if you are busy, you still need to eat.” He then placed his lunch box on his table.
“Thank you.” Baekhyun looked at Chanyeol gratefully.
“Since you so hard working, let get off from work on time and I’ll bring you somewhere nice for dinner.” He ruffled his hair.
“But you have a conference at 5pm.” Chanyeol nodded as he took another mouthful of rice.
“You are right, then just wait for me a little while. I’ll get it done as soon as possible so we can eat dinner before 8.”
Baekhyun was glad that Chanyeol didn’t bring him to any high class restaurant. It was a small restaurant in that area. An old granny came to serve them immediately when they stepped into the shop.
“Chanyeol, it’s been a while since I last saw you. You look like you slimmed down.” Chanyeol smiled brightly back.
“It’s because I miss granny’s food.” Chanyeol pouted as Granny pinched his cheeks.
“Still a sweet talker as usual. Aigoo, you brought a friend with you today.” Baekhyun bowed and greeted the old granny that was standing in front of them.
“You must be a close friend of Chanyeol.” Before Baekhyun could even say they are just friends, Chanyeol had replied.
“Yes, he is.” Baekhyun couldn’t deny that when he heard Chanyeol acknowledging him as a close friend, he felt happy.
“The usual?” Chanyeol nodded before sitting down at the usual sit.
“You know the granny?” Baekhyun waited for the granny to walk away before asking Chanyeol.
“Yeah, I often eat here before I met Kyungsoo.”
“It seemed like Kyungsoo is really important to you.”
“He’s one of the important people in my life.”
After a quiet dinner at the restaurant, they decided to go home straight.
“I’m going to the restroom first.”
“I’ll wait for you outside.” Chanyeol pat his head before heading back in the shop to use the restroom. Baekhyun then stood by a corner to wait for Chanyeol.
“It’s a good catch you have there. Park Chanyeol, a promising young man and CEO of Park cooperation.” Baekhyun froze immediately as he heard the familiar voice coming from behind him. Baekhyun looked at the man that was standing in front of him. It was Mr Yoo, one of his loyal customers when he was working at Exotic.
“I heard you were brought out from Exotic, such a pity.” Mr Yoo moved a little closer to Baekhyun but he didn’t move away. It was more like he couldn’t. His legs wouldn’t listen and froze on the spot.
“Want to go out sometime to reminisce the past?” Mr Yoo whispered in his ear as he leaned closer to Baekhyun. He could feel his warm breath around his ears.
“I can give you a good price if that’s what you are looking for. Or are you using him to help you get back your family’s business? Actually if you want, I can help.” Before he can even lay a finger on Baekhyun, someone pulled him away.
“Sorry, he’s mine.” He stepped in front of Baekhyun, hiding him behind him.
“Mr Park, how about a deal?” Chanyeol raised one of his eyebrows.
“Lend me for a night and I’ll immediately agree on the terms in the contract.” His expression immediately changed.
“How about a no and fuck off.”
“You are not being very smart here, Mr Park. I guess you still have a lot to learn from your elder brother.” Mr Yoo then got back in his car and drove off.
“Why didn’t you push him away?” Chanyeol raised his voice a little. He wanted to reprimand Baekhyun for not pushing him away. He doesn’t belong to Exotic anymore, which gives him reason to push him away.
“But he’s your company’s client…” After hearing Baekhyun’s explaination, Chanyeol sighed. Even if he wasn’t his company’s client, he wouldn’t be able to retaliate. Baekhyun didn’t dare to admit how frightened he was when Mr Yoo requested a night as a part of the deal. He was afraid that Chanyeol would agree to the deal and sent him over for a night. He didn’t want to go back to the life he did in Exotic.
He heard of rumors that rich business man buy young man from Exotic for business trade. It’s not state anywhere in the contract but they comes with the contract. Baekhyun hasn’t really witness any of such trade yet, but it doesn’t meant it doesn’t exist.
“Pabo.” Chanyeol wanted to touch Baekhyun’s head but he flinched away from his touch, it was only then he realized something was wrong with Baekhyun. He was shaking, not from the cold but from the fear.
“I’m sorry.”
“I won’t send you to anyone. I won’t.” He assured as he hugged Baekhyun tightly in his arms.
Along the way home, silence surrounded them. Chanyeol didn’t know what to say to make Baekhyun feel better. The atmosphere around them went back to those days where he and Baekhyun had just met. Both of them sat down in the living room, not a word were exchanged between them. Chanyeol was starting to regret to ask Baekhyun to help him. If he didn’t come and help him, maybe Baekhyun doesn’t need to be reminded of that nightmare.
“I think we should turn in for the night.” Baekhyun nodded at his suggestion and stood up to switch the television off.
His expression turned serious when he sees the caller’s name. He immediately picks up the call.
“Remember to come back for this year’s anniversary on Saturday.” Baekhyun could hear their conversation clearly in the quiet room. The voice was low and deep, the man sounded stern.
“I will.” Immediately after he replied, the caller hung up.
“Baekhyun-ah, cancel all of the appointment that I have this Saturday. We need to attend a party.” Baekhyun nodded. He wanted to ask who was it but he was afraid that the reason might be too personal that Chanyeol doesn’t want to say.
“The party we need to attend is by Wu cooperation. Actually, I am the son of the current CEO.” He took out a magazine from drawer of the coffee table. A family was featured in the cover page of the magazine, Chanyeol was in the photo.
“You are also the son Wu’s cooperation? But your surname is Park.” It’s not possible that Chanyeol was an illegitimate child if their photo was printed on the cover of the magazine stating the perfect family.
“Yeah, but because my mom died when I was three and there were no other child in the Park family so my dad agreed to change my surname and let me inherit Park’s cooperation.” Chanyeol looked down on the floor.
“After my mom died and my dad got married... I know I don’t belong in that family anymore.” He never really shared his feelings he felt deep within, he would always put up that façade smile on his face to hide his loneliness. He learnt that it’s better to hide your weakness than showing to others. It will only make people want to take you down even more.
“Chanyeol-ah, you have Kyungsoo, Jongin.” Baekhyun placed his hands on Chanyeol’s hand and squeeze gently.
“Yeah, I also have you now.” Chanyeol hugged Baekhyun in his arms.
Because I have you, I don’t need anyone else
