Three hours of boredom, combined with a smidgen of hell. My back has been acting up, and it certainly didn't enjoy those tiny plastic chairs that school districts are famous for. Needless to say, I had a difficult time concentrating on the droning informational whirlwind ( Read more... )

They won't, as said workshops usually take place in the library or the gym. Did they give you a desk chair for your classroom? If so, wheel it over to the meeting. I do that all the time. Nobody asks me about it anymore- two or three rather irritated "I'm almost six feet tall- when I sit in those things, my knees touch my ears" responses did the trick. I've also threatened to buy a folding camp chair for off-site meetings and expense it back to the district. But then, I'm a grouch. :)

Now, it occurs to me as I write this that I can't remember how tall you are. I would think, however, that if you're taller than the average student it should still work...
