I don't know, I've only seen the one comment in German. But spam in general is a lot more prevalent on LJ these days. Even as rarely as I post, I see at least one spam comment on all my entries, and I occasionally see one show up on entries from months ago. A community that I was in started getting spam posts so badly that I had to leave it.
