Me? Bitter? Nah. While I DO have my own personal issues with this day of the year, I just absolutely hate this "holiday". We shouldn't need a special day of the year to let ( Read more... )

I hate how people make it all about that special someone. I think you should use it as a day to remind EVERYONE that you care about them. Why does it have to be about eros love?

But, see, that's kinda my point. Why should we NEED a day to remind us to remind people (family, friends, spouses, SOs... Anyone, really) that we love them? Shouldn't we be doing this on a regular basis? Feb. 14th only serves to make retailers richer.

Bah. Gonna get off my cranky, frustrated ass and go take a walk. Far away from the goofiness of the day.

And, yeah, I do admit that I'm more than a little bitter and jaded. Probably has a lot to do with my attitude.

~huggles til you squeak~ Love you, Amy! ;)

Aww! I'm gonna miss you!

I have no reason to celebrate either. :( But I like doing nice things for those I love and it's the one day a year people don't give me goofy looks or think me odd for going an extra mile (or 20) for them. lol

I get goofy looks for going the extra mile or 20, no matter what the day. :p

Yep. Plus, as I stated above, I do realize that my own personal issues with the date have a lot to do with my attitude.

No doubt, but it is rather annoying in general. I work in a hardware store so I didn't have to deal with the hype this year!
