Please come to Boston in the Springtime...

Apr 01, 2008 13:08

So, I've forgotten to mention it but I've gone to Boston (well, Natick - 20 miles west) this week for work. Not sure I'll actually have time to see anything fun, but I might drive into the city tomorrow night for a couple hours. Any suggestions of "Must See" sights? NOTE: The sports arenas don't count in that. No offense ( Read more... )

Faneuil Hall in Boston is always work a look, and a pretty good place to get a bite to eat. The aquarium is also top notch if you are into such things.

A bit closer, Wellesley College has a very nice campus to stroll around. The walk around Lake Waban is a great way to see some of the larger mansions in the area. And if you really want to test out that Mustang, Pond Rd. next to the College is a fine place to do it.

Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to leave you out; I didn't know you were Bostonian. I will drop you a note if I have the time. Sadly, things are moving now that may take up all my previously reserved time.

It's been harder than I expected, but there are worse fates.

I'm planning on spending the afternoon in Boston proper because that's all the time I could clear. If you're around there, maybe we can grab a coffee or something? Don't put yourself out or anything, obviously.

If you feel like walking and the weather is nice, you could try the Freedom Trail.

I don't know...those sidewalks don't look wide enough for the 'Stang and I gave up walking for Lent.

Caitirin is still feeling under the weather, so we'll have to pass. But it's neat that you're so close!

Ah, that's too bad. From the little chance I've had to check LJ, it appears that getting to work is all she can handle. Hope she feels better. Give her a big hug for me.
