It's not Heath's final performance. Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus is his final performance. He was done with Dark Knight and filming for Imaginarium when he died.

Well, I probably should have clarified it as a last completed performance, but you are correct. Sounds like they're doing some interesting things to preserve the part of the performance he was able to complete.
