Silence does indeed kill, and complacency, apathy, and mental lethargy are its henchmen. One of the things I despise most about this current administration is its war on intellectual thought. This president would have us deaf, dumb, and passive, because the thinking, observing individual would see the reality of our situation. We've been posited as heroes when all we are is bullies. We must speak, but also, we must struggle. It's a sad day and age when reading a fucking book is an act of defiance, but do you remember how that "other candidate" was trashed for his intellectual bent?
