Yay for adventures! Where are you off to? Is this your uncle's boat?

*hugs* Sorry to hear about extended essay trauma, but at least they are over with now, and you can try to stop thinking about them. They are hellish things, I know.

Have a lovely time on holiday, and update us when you get back!

Yeah, it is my uncle's boat... I'm going with my parents, C, and my cousin - luckily the latter two get on really well, in a 'C idolises K and K puts up with it surprisingly well' way. (I still can barely believe I have have relatives with things like boats. I try not to think too hard about the implications of it, since I do actually like my uncle's family and don't want to associate them with *that* amount of ready money.) We're going to the Caribbean - really looking forward to it, though two days travel time, including cross-Atlantic plane journeys, with an incredibly hyper 11 year old doesn't much bear thinking about. 'Knocking back the gin' is sounding more and more like the best survival tactic.

Gin sounds like an excellent option - just don't have too much, because being ill and hungover on a plane sounds unpleasant.
