RIP Sooty. Glad she had many happy years with you.

Thanks. I think she enjoyed life with us (let's see - someone to hand feed her from the table, little enclosed lawn for sleeping on, choice of four beds and two couches). We'll miss her.

BTW, how's your new pooch getting on?

Let me see; a garden to dig up, a warm human to sleep with, acres and acres of woodland within a paw's distance to explore, two smaller humans to tug around.

He's happy.

Thank you. We'll miss her, she was a character.

I'm sorry. But I'm glad she wasn't in any pain.

Yeah, thanks. I'm glad she went quick, before her health went any more, but still sad to lose her.

*hugs* Always sad to lose a pet, but at least it sounds like she had a really good, long life.

Thanks, yeah. She was tiny, but a real character - the kids used to call her Lady Sue, and imagine her tripping about with pearls and red high heels. We'll miss her.

Yeah, the girls had a good weep, and we're all just a bit down. She was never a large presence - she was only a tiny cat, but she just was there - at your knee when there were nice things on the table, making an odd little "prrp!" noise to let you know she was willing to act as your personal food taster.
