Funny thing happened to me on my way to the porn.

Ok, backing up. I went to Books-A-Million tonight. The Harlequin was right next to the door. Couldn't miss it if you tried, and I tried. I'm not going to bore you by going into my reasoning for trying to avoid the book.
Next, while I was doing my weekly surf of the manga isle. *sigh* An entire isle of manga... *starry eyes* Sorry, back on track now. Anyway, I was standing there and found a yaoi manga next to Shaman King. Yes, they are both manga, but one is 13+, the other is 18+ and shrinkwrapped. Of course you know I don't mind the yaoi, but I'd rather not see the shit hit the fan when some parents get in a tiff 'cause, "You people are selling perverted porn to my child!" 'Cause you know the parents probably aren't checking what they're buying, and I don't know if they card for mature manga. They do have a shelf in the erotic romance section that's for the 18+ manga. So, I calmly moved it there. Don't know if it'll stay there, but I'm doing my part. 'Course, the whole series of Gravitation is in the isle. Its just shonen-ai and not explicit, but I still worry. Must protect my precious manga.
Ok, now for the funny... ish part. Walking through the store, I see a group of people walking towards me. One of the girls has purple streaks in her hair. Immediately I'm thinking, my kind of people. Then I hear, "You know I'll wear that hat camping." I wonder, What hat?
"What hat?" asked the guy in the group.
"The Harry Potter hat," she replied. (They have Sorting hats, and school caps on sale.) He laughs. I laugh, a little louder than I meant to. I realize now that it wasn't that funny. One of those 'had to be there' things I guess. They look to me. I grin sheepishly and say, "I'm a fan too."
"You waiting for the book?" asked purple-haired girl.
I nodded. "Got my ticket and I'll be here at 12:01 to get it."
She grinned and pointed to the guy she was teasing. Guess he's going to be there too.
So, I avoided badly written smutt, protected my right to boy love, and bonded with strangers over HP. Now I'm at work. Talk about buzz kill.
