[two hours without power and it's about to get worse. any candles that may have been lit are blown out by an inexplicable breath of wind and refuse to light again. matches and lighters go out. cellphones shut down suddenly. the only lights that are let are the light of the stars and the moon through the windows

[Pauses, peering into the darkness, fortunately a respectable distance away.] Hey, Billy? Did your cuffs reset early or something?

[there's no response, though you certainly did catch "Billy's" attention Zell. he stands there, red eyes narrow, considering.

suddenly he grins. which is terrifying, since it's black and red and suddenly white and those teeth are REALLY sharp and it looks like there's far too many there. he winds back his right arm then throws it forward -- there's the sound of a gunshot going off as it extends and hurtles towards Zell.]

[Fortunately Zell's been trained to dodge unpredictable attacks for years, but it's still a close thing. He hits the floor rolling, making a rather unmanly shrieking noise as he does. He flips quickly to his feet and tries to find the threat again.]

[unfortunately this shadow has retained a lot of Billy's knowledge, such as the fact that you should keep moving, no matter whether you're the attacker or the attackee. he's disappeared from his spot only to appear somewhere closer to Zell. another gunshot and that arm's racing back at him.]

[Lalala WHY IS IT SO DARK, keep bumping into things whyyyy ...waiiiit.]

What's that sound?

[huh, hasn't seen her before. which means she's unimportant. which means she's okay to kill. Billy grins a bit before winding back his right arm. the sound of a gunshot is the warning she gets before she sees his arm hurtling toward her.]

[What what, NOT GOOD. Good thing she knows how to defend herself. But, even so, she's not fast enough to dodge the whole thing.]

Hey, STOP that!

[sorry, no verbal response! only the arm withdrawing, another gunshot, and it racing at you again.]

[well that's interesting. but hell, makes it more fun. the shadow grins before winding back his arm and, with the crack of a gun going off, sends his arm flying toward the other man.]

[What SUCKS is he can't see it. But he did hear that crack, which totally gave away what you were doing, dear billy-boy! With a crack of his own, Liam teleports down the hallway to avoid the attack.]

See, I knew this whole things was awesome for a reason.

[okay, he's definitely surprised at the teleportation trick. his arm returns and he blinks, looking around a bit in confusion before spotting Liam, scowling with a tiny flash of razor-sharp white teeth. he tries again, annoyed.]
