I wandered the halls, desperately trying to find my way back outside. I couldn't remember where I'd came in. Roger had been with me and we had been talking, so I wasn't really paying much attention

I practially fell through the door of my small, single 'flat' in exhaustion, yet another field trip for the council done and as over as they ever were. Too bad they were always almost always both physical and mental trips lately, leaving me on the very low end of funstional. It was only when I placed my keys and cell phone on the small table in the entryway that I remembered the need to turn my cell back on. As soon as I did, the message alert flashed it's soft, blue light up at me.
I moved through the apartment without turning on a single light, and then collasped in my chair, placed just by the living area's only window. Without looking I entered by passcode, waiting for the message to play.
"Hey, um, Willow. When did you start working at the pizza place? That's so weird. You never even told me. Oh, right. Break and all. Yeah. So, anyway. We are totally starving here, so I'm thinking 3 large pizzas and since nobody told me what they wanted on them, just bring like..."Pizza? I wasn't even close to thinking about being hungry

I gasped slightly as the familiar voice greeted me. A smile crossing my face.
"Willow!"
I yelled a little louder than I'd intended, then suddenly looked up and down the hall wide eyed. I had to be careful. They might be watching me. I can't give away my location.
Dropping my voice back to a whisper, I covered the bottom of the phone with my hand.
"Where are you with that pizza? I'm freakin' starving here! And I bailed on the party. What kind of party has a dead corpse just hanging out on a table anyway? Besides, Faith? She disappeared and then these other people showed up and it sucked. I was trying to find my way out to wait on you to bring me the pizza."
I paused, wrinkling my brow.
"Speaking of, I know we're on this whole break and all, but you couldn't even tell me you got a job at a pizza joint? And you're in LA too? So, I think I should be the one asking you what the hell is going on."
"Kennedy," I repeated her name, unable to help myself, or keep the warmth out of my voice. Just the sound of hers was enough to stop my pacing -- for now.

The pizza part was way down on my list, and it was a long one at that.
"There's a party in LA? And who died Kennedy? I know we sent you out there to -- is everyone all right? Buffy mentioned things were a little off, but...Kennedy. Just tell me you're alright and we can go through these one by one, because I don't think answering question for question is going to get us very far."

I sighed. Why was she being so questiony? Couldn't she just bring me the pizza and stop interrogating me? We were on a break after all.
And that was totally her decision. Not mine
