It can still be a good day

Oh chile, that is scary!! I'm sorry you're still in pain too. I hope you have a better afternoon. Mondays really do suck.

It was scary, but it wasn't what I had expected a blowout to feel like. I though it would have been like in the movies where they totally go off the road. Still, I'd rather not do that again:)

I think my toe is getting better. It only seems to hurt now if I don't keep it elevated and it starts to swell, or if I walk on it for more than a couple of minutes. It gets little crampy type pains in the joint from time to time when even if it's elevated. Those don't feel so great but it's not excruciating. It feels weird, like my little toe wants to float away from the rest of my foot. I just tried buddy taping it, and it seems to help.

"nobody ran over me when I got out to see what was going on."

One safety tip immediately comes to mind:

Should you break down on the highway, staying in your car is generally the best thing to do. Reason being that the car will still protect you in case someone hits you. (The thought of you walking around 75 checking out your car is far more scary to me than the blowout itself..)

Yeah, I wasn't sure what to do. If some part of the car/fender was loose, I was going to drive on home. I got off on the exit ramp thinking traffic would be slower, but it really wasn't. If there's a next time, I'd probably stay in the car.
