loved this post!!! i admit, im not a big addict of hello kitty as I used to be, but i still squeal and get excited over seein' hello kitty things.. and i also prefer getting something hello kitty over anything plain.. like the hard drive you were describing..

you were right about that girl not having a true "hello kitty addict" experience.. cardboard hello kitty.. out of a folder? that's the worst piece of diy jewelry i seen ! hahahaha.. but i used to get teased for my addiction to hello kitty.. wearing the necklace, hairclips, carrying the bag .. etc.. it doesn't really bother me.. i kind of like it :D and it wasn't like they gave me a hard time

hello kitty hell is a funny website.. i used to visit it a lot.

but hello kity unites people.. isn't that one of the reasons why we became lj friends? hehehe hello kitty online, hello kitty blogs, email..

yes! she does unite people! i think that Hello Kitty people are the best people cos we're always so friendly. i have yet to meet someone who was rude or mean and a HK fan (but that doesn't mean there isn't someone out there who is).

i have never gotten made fun of. my parents think it's weird but i don't expect them to get it. they refuse to support my addiction, but luckily everyone else i know does. :D

Yeah I agree something seems off about the NTKOG's experience. People wouldn't react that extremely to a few pieces of jewelry, she was probably playing up the crazy whether she realized it or not, or imagining that people were moving their dog/child away from her because of her HK jewelry and not for any other reason. And the fact that she was wearing jewelry made of cardboard put her not many steps above that crazy homeless man.

i sort of wonder if she made it all up cos those were really extreme reactions to some hair clips and a "necklace". even if i went out with my HK shirt on and all of my HK jewelry i still wouldn't expect to be treated like that. maybe she's just a scary person in real life. she said she usually wears a meat cleaver necklace! i'd move my kid away from her too (but i'd also find it funny). i'll have to read some of her other entries.
