i really appreciate the fact that you actually have an opinion and have thought about it. most are very quick to judge and dont take time to even really agknowledge. the way i feel is like it is ossososo wrong to take someones life but then why do we have the right to do the same? an eye for an eye shouldnt be the way our inmate situation should work. i think our jails our fucked and the way things work needs review. for instance the fact that some ceo who stole a shit load of money can sit in some club med jail for 10+ years while a child molestor is out in a matter of months is disgusting. to me the death penalty is archaic and hypocritical. considering that huge backers of the deathpenalty are the republican party but yet they are the ones at the same time using christianity as a tool to score points. but if you are a true believer in most any god based religion you would know that it is up tp god when some one should die. its crazy that when george bush was the governer of texas he sent more people to the electric chair then ever

The point of jail is to reform. Hence why you serve time for your crime. They use jails as a way to make you wish you weren't there. When really, most people could consider it an easy life compared to life on the streets. When you really think about it, if you live a horrible life on the streets, jail would seem like a castle. You get fed, you get a place to stay, you work and get enough money to buy toothpaste and soap. When you're on the streets you don't have that kind of "stability." As bad as that sounds, jail is a way out of a certain lifestyle. Some people even commit crimes to go to jail to try getting out of a gang
