It certainly will...death one minute, birth the next! I certainly will feel able to appreciate both ends. I will never understand taxes though!

Thanks, I do feel balanced at the moment as I can concentrate on the exciting parts when other things get difficult to deal with.

so sorry about your dad...and the complicated set of emotions that accompanies that kind of news...
it seems you have a lot of positive things happening, though, to keep you moving forward in the meantime. after the truly amazing homebirth of my son, i thought about becoming a doula. now we live in the middle of nowhere and it doesn't really make sense to pursue it right now. i still hold it as a 'someday' idea...

Thanks. I do have a lot going on which is really helping. I was worried I would sink into a dark mood over it all but last time I dealt with a family death I had nothing else to think about other than my son and home. At least I have more going on now.

You simply MUST look into being a doula. I haven't even been at a birth but I feel so enriched already thanks to the training and encouragement!
