And you have the entire applying procedure wrong. Whenever anyone applies, they are trained (in order) on: Dining room, Fries, Sandwiches. From there it's either Grill or Front cash. And seniority rules, so you would be getting trained on front cash before her. Ne t'enquiete pas, your time will come (probably right before my last day or something).

They shouldnt be able to make you work on Saturday if you already told them you aren't available on Saturdays, it should be against your union/commission, whatever your a part of, especially if your on part-time. Anyways, i think this month in general has just been shitty for me, so dont feel too bad. *hugz*
