I learned earlier today that Tim Russert, longtime newscaster and host of "Meet the Press," died of a heart attack. This left me with a very heavy heart, as he was one of my favorite newscasters. Any time seeing him on the air, I couldn't help but smile, because he was so good and so passionate about what he did. I know the guy really wnated to see ( Read more... )

I wrote something resembling a song the other night. It was written, in spirit, I think, for my girlfriend.

But I think, when all is said and done, I'm going to name it after my grandma. She passed away 18 years ago. I still think about her a lot.

"Margaret's Song" sounds nice, doesn't it?

Ah! What a fun night! And to think I was going to go to bed early at one point... I was in quite a mood earlier. But the companionship of friends and family certainly turned that around.

I think I'm finally on the winning side of my depression.
