Let me just follow up here by saying that I don't denigrate anybody who supports the American Cancer Society. I think the awareness and the communal atmosphere that the ACS accumulates through the Relay for Life is great. I've raised thousands of dollars for them myself and participated in maybe ten Relays since my mom was diagnosed. No, I think Relay is great. It's what the ACS does with the money from Relay that I vehemently denigrate. I think that anybody that disagrees with government paternalism should be disinclined to support the ACS, since much of their revenue goes toward funds and special interests aimed at depreciating our liberties. Fuck that.
