I thought twice about tackling such a large post to read, but Im really glad I did. I dated a feminist for some time and though at times, I felt it was way too out there, alot of stuff hit home that she would talk about. I learned alot, and through her telling me these things I started to take on some of the same beliefs. I liked reading this because it really does make you think about things you looked right over before. Maybe you have calling in writing a book about feminism. You put it well. :)

Thanks. Well you should go back and read my other longer posts. This isn't Twitter so I use my LJ to hopefully inspire some feminist discourse...I love writing about it and it's my major I'm pursuing as well.

Do you find yourself arguing with brian about certain topics?
Did you know jes? The girl I was dating? She goes to Columbia and at first was pursuing her degree in womens studies or whatever its called, she ended up changing her path, but the school seemed really really great for it. Columbia in chicago that is. One of her teachers was a tranny lesbian. So it wasnt just some tom, dick or harry haha. dick.

Heh, you said Dick.

Oh yeah, Brian tells me that I can't discuss feminist matters with him because I get really passionate (loud) about it. He feels like I attack him but I swear I don't. We have really awesome conversations because of this, though. I give him a perspective that he hasn't even thought about before (due to his male privilege) and he will give me some practical points. But I'm always right, LOL
I don't think I met Jes, but I think I remember something about Columbia....long time ago, huh?
