Movie review!

Well, given how surly my journal has been of late, I figure we're long overdue for a movie review, or at least a suggestion:

Night at the Museum

Technically, this is a kids' movie. And it's a Ben Stiller comedy. However... It's got a fabulous cast -- Robin Williams, Mickey Rooney, Dick Van Dyke... the list goes on and on and on. Seriously, I' ( Read more... )

So far, I've tried to see it twice. Both times it was sold out at the Denton Movie Tavern.

So what's it like seeing a movie at the tavern? I'd think it'd be noisy with all the clanking of plates, chewing and having to get up to pee all the time. LOL We saw it at the theatre in Vista Ridge and were the only two people in the place. (Admittedly, it was an afternoon showing.) But I've been curious about those dinner/movie places.

I like it. The noise level once the movie starts is usually no worse than any other theatre, and sometimes it's actually better because people are stuffing their faces instead of talking.

Most movie taverns have a bar, and you've got a waiter you can signal to bring drink refills and such.
