Cat Update
Thanks to vkacademy taking some fantastic initiative (and finding my long-misplaced bootstraps), we went out and bought some emergency ingredients to force-feed 'Gheera. His current chicken soup (chicken and tuna soup, really, with added antibiotics, vitamins, and antacid) isn't quite as stomach-churning as Newton's home-made bug soup for birds. Almost, but not quite.
After about the first day, he started drinking water again out of a bowl (instead of out of a syringe). This morning, he passed over the syringe of soup in favor of a self-serve version in a saucer.
He's far from out of the woods, and I'm very aware of that. Hopefully, we got enough food and water in him that his kidneys haven't shut down, but that's a "wait and see" thing. For now, though, he's rehydrated, getting stronger, and seems to be fairly chipper (when he doesn't have to surrender his bathtub domain to the big monkeys who wash in it).
