Yeap! it is just an optical illusion that has been around for a long time... they are just adding a bit more electronics. ;-)

Well I knew about the optical illusion of seeing a 3D image and have seen several videos where you can do it at home even, but this was the first time I ever saw anybody combine it with the sensation of touch, which really the first step in developing a holodeck. So nerdy/wonderful :P
