When you're ordering a pair of shoes online, and they only come in whole sizes, is it better to go up a size or go down? I'm a 7 1/2, and I'm not sure if I should get a 7 or an 8. If they were at a store, I could try them on, but it's online. Hm. Or if shoes are whole sizes only & you're a half size, should you just not buy those shoes at all?

I suppose half a size is not that big a difference, but you should just think of how the right size shoes feel on you - whether they fit really tight or whether there's still room. So if they are tight already you should perhaps go up half a size and if there's room you can go down. Maybe you should also consider the material they are made of - most leather stuff stretches quite a bit and might 'bend' after your feet ... don't know if that's any help :D

I decided not to order them... I didn't want to bother w/ returning them if they didn't fit. I don't understand why so many shoes they make in whole sizes only. :P

well, in Europe they're all full sizes + the numbers are different as I am sure you know... :) I've no idea what a 7 equals in Europe, though. Some shoes have both Eur and Am numbers on them...well, whatever! Too bad about the shoes.

Check the shoes on zapoos and see if they have a review for if the shoes feel true to size. Some company's run large while others run small!! :(

Just like bras :/

I decided not to order them... it would be too much of a hassle to return them if they didn't fit. I'm lazy!

Did you see the clearance sale at Urban Outfitters? That's where I was going to order those shoes. All the stuff that's on sale is an extra 25% off. I'm so annoyed b/c they had this supercute skirt for $14.99, and by the time I got home from work to order it, it was gone. :P But anyway, there's lots of really good deals.

i'll say 8 since 7.5 is bigger than 7. this is what i usually do and it works. well see if there's a return policy too. some small shoes can stretch and some can be made bigger at the cobler but usually a bigger size is better (but it varies between models).

I decided not to order them. :P When I've seen shoes that only come in whole sizes at the store & I try on 8's, they slip off my foot... but the 7's, my toe is about to burst through the front. Oh well!
