History (It's rather short because the series doesn't correspond to the comics, therefore her comic history isn't compatible. Let me know if this doesn't work!)
Abilities & Physical Abnormalities:Telepathy: M'gann has the ability to communicate with people telepathically. She can establish a link between multiple individuals so they can all converse in their heads with one another. While this was a typical form of communication on Mars, an incident on Earth has taught her to only use the power during appropriate times-- during team missions when the group must communicate without breaking radio silence and also when trying to read into the mind of an enemy. She can also delve into the mind of individuals in order to recover lost memories, and is able to do this with multiple persons at a time as long as they are willing to let her do so. Also, she is capable of psychic combat within her mind with another person who is gifted with the ability of telepathy.
Telekinesis: Hand in hand with her telepathy, M'gann also possesses telekinetic abilities. She can move and manipulate objects with her mind, whether they be small objects or large ones-- she can be seen smashing two planes together in flight with a clap of her hand. With her telekinesis, she is able to form telekinetic shields to protect her in combat.
Flight: Flight is a natural ability to M'gann-- she is often seen flying to travel great distances, though in normal situations she prefers to walk as her friends do.
Shapeshifting: While M'gann possesses the ability to shape shift, it proves to be difficult for her to shift into a male form. Even when she does try to imitate a male's body, in the end her form still possesses female characteristics. She is, however, able to imitate females flawlessly as well as androids as they do not have a specific gender to them.
Camouflage: While M'gann is able to shift her body into camouflage mode, this does not make her completely invisible to the eye; she can blend into her surroundings, though upon more careful inspection an outline of her body is still noticeable, and the area at which she is trying to camouflage into seemed slightly distorted on her body.
Weakness to fire: Like most Martians, M'gann's physiology makes her susceptible to fire and heat. In situations where she is exposed to extremely high temperatures, her powers weakened until she can no longer activate them.
Appearance: Being a martian, M'gann has green skin, though the rest of her appearance resemble that of a human-- shoulder-length red hair, auburn eyes, freckles and human facial features. She also wears a uniform made of organic fabric which morph at her will to whatever outfit she wants, making it easy for her to shape shift between forms without having to worry about her clothes.
Personality:
Upon first impressions, M'gann seems to be an innocent, naive girl. It's understanding considering her situation-- a martian who had come to Earth from another planet and now must deal with not only assimilating herself to a new species and culture, but she must also worry about being accepted by her teammates. She comes face to face with culture shocks quite often, finding herself in situations where her actions are unacceptable even when her intentions are good, such as speaking telepathically with her teammates without their consent and essentially invading their minds. While it does take some explaining from her teammates as to why her actions are inexcusable, in the end she always adapts to the acceptable mannerisms of Earth.
She is also largely inexperienced when it comes to missions. Being the only member on the team without training in a mission-type scenerio prior to the formation of Young Justice, her faulty logic had resulted in her team being put in a dangerous situation during one of their missions. She later redeems herself, however, with subtle guidance from Red Tornado and rethinking her initial logic and spotting points she had initially looked over. Mission after mission, however, she proves herself to be a valuable teammate with her unique abilities, particularly when she was able to foil Psimon in a telepathic battle of the mind and was later able to restore the memories of her teammates. Because of her first mistake, she easily relates to her teammates when they are in the same situation and seeks to comfort them in reassuring that everyone makes mistakes.
While interactions with females does not seem ot be a problem for M'gann (perhaps because she had twelve sisters back on Mars), boys are another story altogether. She seems to have trouble relating to them, and strives to understand the male gender some more. This leads to awkward moments as well as times when she becomes flustered, easily switching into rambling mode which reflects her nervousness. The more she spends time with her teammates, however, the more natural their interactions become.
As a means to prepare herself for human culture, M'gann bases most of her mannerisms and speech patterns from TV programs she enjoys. 'Hello, Megan!', a phrase she often exclaims in moments when she reaches an epiphany, is derived from a TV show which bears the same name. M'gann has even taken in the appearance of Megan, the fictional comedy's protagonist, albeit retaining her own natural green skin. Cooking, a hobby she has taken up while on Earth, is also influenced by the show; she mentions having tried one of 'Granny Jones' recipes from the show after a failed baking attempt.
Referring back to her favorite catchphrase, M'gann can come off as a bit of an airhead as she often forgets things, remembering at the last moment possible. This causes her to smack her forehead and exclaim, "Hello, Megan!" when she realizes her mistake and it finally sinks in. There's no telling when an epiphany may come-- it makes it's appearance in everyday conversation during a casual time, and has even happened during missions under extreme pressure. Needless to say, while she may have a few blimps in her memory, in the end she does get her head together to focus completely at the task at hand.
To sum it all up, M'gann is a well intentioned girl who has a kind heart and is always eager to prove herself to her teammates and superiors. After her initial shyness, she is a girl full of energy and spunk, and will be the most loyal of friends should she be granted that honor.
What are your plans for the character in-game? To familiarize herself to a new world and try and make new friends :)
Anything else? Nothing I can think of.
Complete TWO out of the FOUR options.
i) IC Questionnaire
What do you prefer to be known as? Megan-- it's an Earth name. I mean, I know we're not on Earth, but it's similar enough to Earth that I think it'd be a common name here... right?
How old are you? I'm 48 in human years, but 16 in Martian years.
Do you have any history in combat? Well, I'm not the strongest in hand-to-hand combat but I do have training in it. I use my telekinesis mostly when I fight, it comes a lot more natural for me.
If so, have you ever killed? No, that's not how my team works. I have smashed androids to pieces, though!
i) How do you feel when you get involved in some project that calls for immediate and rapid activity? Oh, that's normal for us! It's not like you can ever get a heads up when an enemy is attacking a city.
ii) Do you organize and initiate leisure activities? There's a beach right outside the Cave, so I like to gather the team and go swim and play with them!
iii) What role do you take when working in a group? I'm the one who links everyone together through telepathy so we can all communicate without using our radios. I also seem to mediate a lot of the arguments between people in the team...
iv) How talkative are you around other people? Talkative? Well, I guess I can be talkative-- it depends on who I'm talking with. Sometimes I tend to get a little off topic and ramble on and on, but that's only when I'm a little nervous. ... Am I rambling?
v) What three things would you want to have with you on a desert island? State your reasoning. My Bioship so that I can go anywhere I want, the organic clothes I have so I can shift it into anything and... a TV? I wouldn't want to miss an episode of 'Hello Megan'!
vi) Is it important to be liked by a wide range of people? [A bit shyly:] That would be nice... I don't have many friends on Earth, besides my teammates of course. But they're the best friends you can have! I'm happy if they're the only friends I'll make.
vii) When the odds are against you, is it worth taking a chance? I think so, because if you don't take a chance that means giving up.
viii) Do you consider yourself to be an impulsive person? Impulsive... I'm not really sure. I don't think so...
ix) Would you agree that planning things ahead takes the fun out of life? No-- I think anything can be fun, pre-planned or not! It's about the experience itself.
x) Do you like surprises? I love surprises!
xi) Do you sometimes wonder if there is something wrong with you? [Looking a bit uncomfortable.] Well, I don't think so-- but then again, I'm a Martian and what's "normal" for us may not be exactly "normal" for humans...
xii) Do you consider yourself to be smarter than your superiors, and disagree with their decisions? I think our superiors are our superiors for a reason-- they've gained a lot of knowledge from experience. One day, we'll be as great as them!
xiii) Lastly, how do you feel about cabbages? Oh, Granny Jones had a recipe with cabbages in one of the episodes! I've always wanted to try it out...
