Friday night was Elizabeth's last baseball game of the season. She plays for Rec and Ed, which is basically the local rec league run by the school district. She has been playing on the boys' team since first grade because she wants to play baseball, not softball, and there is no girls' baseball league. That is SO amazing - and what a valuable life lesson! Jacob would have started the same way, refusing, so as I was reading your post initially I started to get that familiar anxiety rising in me where I try to talk him into trying and he refuses.

So, I am SUPER SUPER SUPER impressed with Elizabeth!!!! She worked hard all summer to learn to pitch, and then she gave it a shot in a stressful situation and she didn't buckle under pressure!!

YAY Elizabeth!!!!

I feel you, I am a mess whenever Alexis pitches because he's not constant :-/

A team can win 30-0??? Holy hell. Here, we cant do more than 3 points per inning, and it never goes further than 5 innings

What an amazing game and re telling, I almost felt like I was there! Bravo to Elizabeth! She has worked so hard and has such dedication and bravery. She is a true inspiration.

Wow, your heart must have been beating out of your chest! So amazing of her, it takes a lot of courage to pitch at all, nevermind in such nerve-wracking circumstances! You must be so proud. Congrats to the Tigers!
