anybody feel like going to a ren-faire this weekend? i'm competing in the joust tournament there both days. 
it should be fun. hopefully i won't die.

Damn I wish I had the money. I have the whole weekend to do things that Mark hates(he'll be out of town), and renfaires are on that list.

actually, i can totally understand that. i doubt i'd be there if i weren't competing. plus, it's like two hours away.

i asked if i had a guest list, so i could get you in free, but they said no. sorry :(

Mark hates the whole fake accent thing. hah. He totally flips out. I haven't been to one in years now. I don't know if I miss it or not. It just drives me up the wall that he complains so much. hah.

I've always wondered how that fair has shaped up. The first time I ever really hung out with one of my friends (guen_the_cat) was when she, keltic_eyes and I drove out and spent the day. At the time it was only a year or two old and was in a cow pasture, not a tree anywhere near the fairgrounds. It was such a sleeply little fair, with nothing going on that when we sat down to wait for the joust just about every single guy in the area came over to flirt with us. It was really quite amusing. Then because it was the last weekend once the joust started just about everyone 'killed' each other and got dragged off the field. I seem to remember that not only did all the knights die, but the king, queen, royal court, and even the page boys battled it out and stabbed each other. It had to be the most unique joust I've ever watched. It was great.

ah, the imfamous 'everyone dies' show! i was told about that particular show by the owner. how funny that you were there for it!!!!
