I realize that this might be a bit of an...inane question at a time like this, but...
Did someone lose a cat recently?
It was making a racket for, ah, about thir--half an hour very late last night. So...I went outside and set something out for it, but it was gone before I could see where it'd gone.

Hopefully the damn thing will be quiet now.
[But... if someone... went out to where the buttermilk had been set? They'd find some tuna mixed with egg whites had also been left there.]

Milo stops and whirls around-- "H-hi, Kida," he mumbles out, a sheepish grin on his face. "Well, there was a cat meowing at the door late last night, so...I set out something for it."
Flawless logic.
...Wait, food? He hadn't set out any food last night.

In a moment Milo's at the door and on his knees; sure enough, the tuna and egg white mixture is there beside his own little bowl of milk.

"Wait. Who put this here?" he asks...totally forgetting Kida's other question.
