The depression continues!! Woo!

Seriously, as much as I love these rewatches, this month has been SO BUSY with them...I'm looking forward to being done. This is always such a harder endeavour than I remember.

Just rewatched this episode. In some ways this is the worst episode to rewatch, it hurts so much to see Dean cut Lisa and Ben out of his life--his brokenness about it is crushing, and yet it's also infuriating because, like others have said, Dean was usurping Lisa and Ben's agency and deciding for them, and that was just wrong!

I can't get over that Dean in his selfishness leaves them wide open to anything that wants to use them as a bargaining chip against him in the future! Just because they don't remember doesn't protect them at all!

One of the things I want most in season 13 is for Dean to run into them again and there be fallout from what he did (and maybe it gets reversed? They'd still be pissed as hell but at least they'd know!)

I think the problem with Lisa and Ben is that once they were there - there was no way to get rid of them. Like... you couldn't actually have a family for Dean, and they'd never stop BEING a family unless they were forcibly removed from his life ( ... )
