Hi! I know I'm a week late on this. I'm still trying to find a balance between over-scheduling myself and under-scheduling myself, and I haven't quite got it yet. This comment can be applied to pretty much all of season 15 so far :(
The 'Nick is back' plotline makes no sense and makes a human be the major bad guy for the first time. Admittedly a human damaged by the supernatural...but while it was chilling to encounter evil humans back in 'The Benders' it really doesn't belong in the Supernatural universe. Sigh.
9 year old you was pretty hard-core...
Yet as not stellar as this episode was, it was still more interesting to watch than episode 2 of this year where nothing happened...I was at least interested in what Michael was doing as opposed to spending the episode trying to make sense out of illogical decisions, wondering why it was so non-scary, and being distracted by the lame special effects...

Agreed. I am really not looking forward to my rewatch of that one. If I thought I got bored during THIS episode... wow.
And yeah, 9 year-old me had not yet developed empathy for my fellow man.
That's a good point about part of the reason the Nick storyline bothers me - he's a human. The only time it makes sense for him to be a villain is when he tries to bring back Lucifer. But did I have to see the build-up to that? And did it have to be Nick? It would have made more sense if they'd left Nick and Lucifer out of the story entirely and had Michael remain the final boss until the end. Ugh, maybe I'll end up doing a re-write of this season even though I said I wouldn't. We'll see when we get to the end of the season.
