Rewatch S14: The Spear (14x09) and Nihilism (14x10)

Quarantine rewatches begin! Let's get back at this folks... I've got 12 episodes to go to finish off S14, and due to a temporary production shut-down, we're not actually sure anymore when the Series Finale will be - which means that THIS IS MY CHANCE to finish my S14 rewatch and get the clothes posted before the series concludes.

We never see Kaia again after this, so hopefully they wrap this storyline up somehow in S15 or it'll be a dangling thread.

We get competent Sam sneaking through the tower looking for Jack--yay!

I remember going 'oh shit' when Michael repossessed Dean in the tower, and knowing it was going to be several weeks till winter hiatus was over, and being very afraid that Michael's powers were way more than our boys could handle. (And look who they're up against this season...they never get a break, do they.)

I pretty much loved 'Nihilism' except for Maggie's ridiculous role. But Michael sticking Dean in a happy place--and Sam realizing that's where Dean was--felt true to the characters.

And yeah, Death's library--given there are multiple books for a person's end, the stories are clearly mutable depending on actions taken. Which applies to the Makak box and to the book Billie mentioned this week about the end of God...which makes me very nervous about just how much flexibility

Haha, you caught me! I should have re-read it. I actually watched The Spear a whole month ago, wrote up the notes, and then didn't get to Nihilism until today. :P

I'm with you on how this might apply to S15. We'll have to see where it goes!!!

And yes, pretty much in agreement with you on everything else too. The A-plot in Nihilism was well done, it was just the B-plot that needed some work. :)
