I'm still alive!

Trying to do every two weeks at the very least, because every week wasn't working. I can't believe it's been over a year since I started this rewatch and I'm still not done. I'd say "I'm the worst" but I think the actual correct answer is "2020 is the worst"

I never quite understood why Dean was so angry at Cas (and it continues into season 15) because I don't see what Cas could have done differently. It felt like the writers forced the schism because they didn't want to have Sam and Dean mad at each other but they needed some Team Free Will conflict to make drama.

And I am sooo with you on the 'just make Lucifer gone!' bandwagon!

Rowena was really good in this episode.

I can understand it only in terms of misplaced grief/self-hatred - which Dean is good at. Like, instead of blaming himself, he instead projects what he sees as his own failures onto Cas... such as not being more openly skeptical of Jack's health, or falsely believing everything would be fine, so not raising any alarms even though they all knew that Jack's behaviour was off.

I totally agree that it should have been a short-lived anger though, even in this episode, when Sam points out Dean's hypocrisy, Dean can understand and recognize what he's doing. But, I'll see if the conflict maybe shifts to "what do we do next" - it's been so long now, I'll need a refresher on how this conflict continues.

And yes, Rowena was fantastic. For a character I loathed when first introduced, I think she reaches her peak-awesome in this episode.
