I'm reminded of a phone call I got a couple of weeks ago:

"Hello?"
"Hi."
"Umm..."
"Parlez-vous francais?"
"Um, no, sorry--"
"Bye!"

Probably one of your crazy relatives confirming your phone number. See, this is why we need to Nebraska or Wisconsin or some place like that...to get away from them. ;-)
