Put up that long-awaited Karma Chameleon show?

... Actually, Taboo was quite good.

Wait, was Taboo a collection of Culture Club songs? I thought it was an original musical. I've only heard it once and never saw it...gah, I'm so confused! -_-

Heh, I was afraid I'd make a mistake like that...

It's the story of Boy George's life and it features a few Culture Club songs. It's an original for the most part, but strictly speaking, it's a "jukebox show".

Ah, see, didn't know that. Learn something new everyday, right? Today I learned that I don't research my material well enough. XD Thanks for the heads-up.

I don't even remember- what went up in the theatre that used to house Cats? I remember it closing (how could I not, I mean really, end of an era...) but I don't think I even know what theatre it was in.

Ahahaha, it's Mamma Mia. Which isn't bad, but...well, it ain't fantastic, either.

I know how you feel. Rent is touring this summer, coming through Dallas in May AND has two of the original cast members, and I'm hoping for a payroll error/miracle.

That's almost funny. In a disturbing sort of way.

That said, I would have loved to have been able to see Rent. This, not so much.

It's even funnier because this musical basically exists, already. It's called Zombie Prom. My high school did this one my Junior year, and while there isn't exactly a Thriller musical number, it's still a love story between a girl and a zombie and there's totally choreographed dancing.

Can you believe that there's a stage performance (actually, the LAST performance) of Rent that's making it to DVD? They played it in select movie theaters for two weekends back in September, and it's coming to DVD in February. I saw it in the movie theater, and it's actually a very good performance, so I highly recommend checking it out. =D

I definitely need to check that out! I've always wanted to see Rent. One of our theaters just started showing these kinds of things. I'm kind of sad they started to late for this one.
